Nearly a thousand years of prisoners, ravens and monarchs are packed inside these walls, and the Crown Jewels vault alone justifies the entry price. Free Yeoman Warder tours run roughly every half hour and are the best twenty minutes of the visit, dry historical jokes included. Arrive close to opening if possible, the jewel house queue can triple by mid morning in summer.
